# Build with entrepta

> A dark-first design system distributed as copy-paste components, not an npm package of pre-built UI. You own the source. Run a command, the component lives in your repo, styled with your tokens, editable without fighting a library.

## Philosophy

entrepta is opinionated about three things: a deep zinc-950 canvas (light mode is optional, never priority), no mark of its own (no ◆, no //, no editor frame: you pass them in), and copy-paste distribution (no SDK, no runtime telemetry, no wrapper between you and your components).

## Quick start

```bash
npx @entrepta/cli@latest init --theme=entrepta  # tokens and config
npx @entrepta/cli@latest add button badge input  # copy components
npm run dev  # use them
```

## What init writes

- `app/globals.css`: Tokens, reset, fonts and the type scale. src/index.css in Vite
- `lib/utils.ts`: The cn() helper (clsx and tailwind-merge), aware of the type scale
- `entrepta.json`: Config: theme, paths, aliases

## Where to go next

- [Installation](https://entrepta.vercel.app/docs/installation.md): setup for Next.js and Vite
- [CLI reference](https://entrepta.vercel.app/docs/cli.md): every flag of init and add
- [Foundations](https://entrepta.vercel.app/docs/foundations.md): what every component follows
- [Components](https://entrepta.vercel.app/docs/components.md): 62 components in 8 sections
